On April 20, Emily Blunt stepped out in a Schiaparelli gown that looked like a gravity-defying minidress upon closer look. The Golden Globe winner showed up at “The Devil Wears Prada 2” New York premiere alongside her co-stars, Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Stanley Tucci.
Emily Blunt’s Schiaparelli bustier gown doubles down as a gravity-defying minidress for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’
Emily Blunt wore Look 11 from Maison Schiaparelli’s Spring/Summer 2026 Haute Couture collection titled, The Agony and the Ecstasy.” At its core, the ensemble was a gravity-defying, champagne-toned corseted minidress. According to the House’s official Instagram page, the designers put in four thousand hours of work to create the bustier using 25,000 silk thread feathers.
The back of the piece revealed a traditional lace-up corset detail, featuring gold metal eyelets, that cinched at the waist. It extended into a sleek, body-hugging skirt which highlighted Blunt’s silhouette. At the front, a voluminous tulle overskirt stole the spotlight. Crafted from varying shades of tulle, the skirt formed a scissor hem as it cascaded in jagged, frothy layers. Rather than flowing from the waist, it appeared to explode outward and downward.
While speaking of her outfit at the red carpet (via @badpostblunt on Instagram), Blunt said, “God bless Daniel [Roseberry], who I love so much, and he let me snatch it off his couture show runway.” When the interviewer joked that he tried to get the dress, the British actress’s hilarious response was: “I know! My stylist, Jessica Paster, just sort of killed people at dawn for it.” Ensuring that the focus remained on her styling, she wore her brunette hair in a slicked-back bun. Her makeup added a pop of color to her look with a bold red lip.
The “Oppenheimer” star paired the dress with the Schiaparelli Measuring Tape Sandals, worth $2,200. The nude leather heels come with iconic ribbon meter embroidery along the ankle and toe straps. She accessorised with jewelry pieces from Mikimoto. Adding to the chic touch, the earrings, bracelet, and necklace were from the brand’s Les Pétales Place Vendôme Roses collection. The pearl, diamond, and gold rings on her fingers were also from Mikimoto.
