OnlyFans creators react to Sydney Sweeney’s Euphoria character

OnlyFans creators criticize Sydney Sweeney’s Euphoria character. So far, Sweeney has sported many controversial outfits, from dressing as a baby to also wearing a dog outfit for the show. At one point, she suggested that men would pay $50 for a good-morning text from her.

Alex Paige Moore told US Weekly that the show misrepresents the type of people who join OnlyFans. Moore explained, “I feel like for a lot of people, whether they’re in the same situation as me or different situations, joining OnlyFans is more of a last resort. It’s not that we’re throwing a tantrum or threatening our partners that we’re going to leave or demanding they give us more money.”

Moore explained that creators need to put in serious work to build a dedicated fanbase and make money in the long run. She remarked, “It’s not as easy as ‘send a message and make $50’. If it was, everyone would be doing it. Most creators start at $1–2k a month; it takes serious strategy and social media work to build it up.”

Amira Evans echoed Moore’s statement, revealing, “OnlyFans is NOT a get rich quick scheme. People need to know the stigma and risk associated with making an account and putting your content online, the internet is forever.”

Furthermore, creator Bonnie Locket explained how these shows lean into shock factor and s**uality, but miss the business aspect of the platform. “Being an OnlyFans creator isn’t just ‘posting s**y content,’ it’s marketing, psychology, branding, consistency, and resilience. It’s closer to running a digital media company than people realize,” Locket added.

Finally, creator Taila Madison dished that her job entailed much more than “just fulfilling kinks.” Previously, popular creator Sophie Rain revealed to TMZ that the makers are simply sensationalizing the platform for views. Rain said, “They’re definitely just making it dramatic for entertainment, but it’s not reality.”
