Big games bring out big names, and last night, celebrity support courtside made the moment feel even bigger. New York natives Timothée Chalamet and Ben Stiller brought more than just celebrity to the playoffs. At Madison Square Garden on Monday, April 20, they brought unwavering support, riding each surge and setback with the New York Knicks as they battled the Atlanta Hawks on their home floor.

Chalamet was wearing a Knicks jacket, washed jeans, and Adidas Stan Smith sneakers. Throughout the game, he often stood to applaud the Knicks players and shouted encouragement from his seat.

The Dune star is a well-known New York sports fan and often attends Knicks games at MSG. This time, he came without girlfriend Kylie Jenner, who joined him last season.

Instead, Timothée Chalamet sat near Ben Stiller, another devoted Knicks fan. Cameras caught the celebrity duo laughing and chatting as they watched the game unfold.

Unfortunately for the pair, the New York Knicks came up one point short. The Hawks won 107-106, tying the series at 1-1. The teams play next on April 23, April 25, and April 28, with April 30 and May 2 scheduled if needed.

The Atlanta Hawks trailed the entire second half and entered the fourth down 12. CJ McCollum erased the deficit with a go-ahead basket at 2:09 for a 101-100 lead, Atlanta’s first of the series in the second half, before adding another bucket to bring the total to three. After Jalen Brunson tied it with a three, McCollum answered with a jumper to lead 105-103 with 33 seconds left.

McCollum missed two free throws with 5.6 seconds remaining. The Knicks, out of timeouts, rushed upcourt, but Mikal Bridges’ jumper at the buzzer fell short.
