At least one of Britney Spears’ exes is on her side. The …Baby One More Time singer is in rehab following her highly publicized DUI arrest. She was stopped by police after allegedly driving erratically on the highway. Britney wound up spending a few hours behind bars.
The incident had those close to the pop star urging her to go to rehab. That is something she has reportedly been through many times before but agreed to go through it again. Getting the help that she needs is a massive relief to one of her ex-husbands.
Sam Asghari spoke about the singer’s rehab move
Their marriage didn’t last, but Sam Asghari still has fondness and respect for Britney. TMZ reports that the actor and model is pleased to hear that the Princess of Pop is seeking help following her arrest. Britney voluntarily checked herself into a rehab facility.
Of all the men she’s been involved with romantically, Sam has long been her biggest advocate. Although the couple were only husband and wife for a couple of years, he’s never spoken ill of her or her issues. In March, he said that he was “rooting for her” to get well following her DUI arrest.
That is a sharp contrast from how her second husband has been towards her. Kevin Federline dragged Britney’s name through the mud last year with his tell-all memoir. The book blasts the singer’s parenting, claiming she once breastfed their kids while snorting coke. She and Kevin have two kids.
When cops pulled her over earlier this year, the singer reportedly had Adderall and other drugs in her possession. The speculation is that these pills were obtained during one of her recent trips to Mexico. Since selling her music catalogue, she has gone on several fancy vacations and, according to sources, has spent lavishly.
