Bachelor Alum Bailey Taylor Brown Calls Out Nick Viall in Awkward Podcast Moment

Nick Viall is no stranger to people critiquing his often invasive or insensitive approach on his podcast. Now, Bachelor alum Bailey Taylor Brown calls him out for his inappropriate comments and regrets going on his podcast at all. Safe to say, she did not have a good experience.

Bailey Taylor Brown said appearing on Viall Files “was horrible”

Bailey first appeared on Grant Ellis’ highly controversial season of The Bachelor. She appeared on The Viall Files last February and said that it was a mistake.

“The whole time, I walked in and you sh*tted on me,” Bailey said while calling out Nick during an episode of the She’s All Bach podcast. “It was horrible. My mom was listening, Jeremy (Simon) was listening, they were both very upset.”

Bailey said that Nick said to her, “Oh, Bailey’s here, Rachel (Recchia) is here. You guys both know what it’s like to be second best to Susie (Evans).” Ouch. Nick was referencing the fact that Jeremy and Bailey were exploring their connection on Bachelor in Paradise when Susie entered the villa. Jeremy was interested in her, but she decided to leave.

Similarly, Rachel and Susie were on Clayton Echard’s Bachelor season. Susie left during Fantasy Week, and Clayton broke up with Rachel to pursue her.

“Normally, I’m a very confident person,” Brown explained. “I’m not afraid to stand up for myself, but I was also taken aback by that statement immediately, that I was like, ‘Holy sh*t, I don’t wanna talk on this podcast. He made me seem like I’m a second-class citizen to Susie, who’s my friend.”

Bailey also said she didn’t appreciate Nick dragging Rachel into the situation, too. “I just thought that was really foul on both of us.”

She also added that many people told her that Nick’s podcast was not good for women to go on, and he often says tone-deaf things. “I should’ve listened to them and not gone on the podcast, but in the moment, it’s so hard to say what you should’ve, could’ve done.”

The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise are streaming on Hulu and Disney+
