On Saturday, the POTUS took the time to talk to reporters while departing the Palm Beach International Airport in Florida. As he gave updates regarding the current situation in Iran, people were quick to notice the unusual appearance of his hands.
The back of Donald Trump’s hands showcased an intense layer of light-colored makeup. However, it failed to hide the bruises underneath, which appeared to be spreading to his fingers.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), journalist Aaron Rupar noted, “The discolored area on the back of Trump’s right hand seems to be getting larger and approaching his fingers. This photo was taken today as he spoke to reporters in Florida.”
Notably, Trump’s bruised hands have long been a matter of discussion, having drawn media attention on a number of events in the past. White House spokesperson Davis Ingle explained the marks in a previous interview by saying that it was due to his habit of shaking hands with a host of people.
“President Trump is a man of the people, and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other President in history. His commitment is unwavering, and he proves that every single day,” Ingle noted to The Daily Beast. In a later discussion, Trump corroborated this clarification regarding the streaks on his hands.
Mocking the Republican politician’s bruised hands, one X user stated, “Trump’s hands are so old, the Cryptkeeper uses them as a before photo.” Another user defended Trump by writing, “Liberals have a bizarre fixation on Donald Trump’s hands, ankles, and even the size of his a**. It’s honestly disturbing. It just shows they’ve run out of anything meaningful to say.”
