Love on the Spectrum alum Dani Bowman just weighed in on Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman’s recent split. As this candid Netflix star confessed, she can “totally understand” why Abbey and David parted ways following five years of dating. Abbey and David have “different perspectives,” Dani stressed. “But that’s OK.”
The Love on the Spectrum split shocked fans
Only a handful of days after Season 4 dropped, fans learned that Abbey and David had parted ways. After two of their costars got engaged, Abbey grew hopeful that she and David might be next. David, however, was not on the same page. “We can only be engaged whenever the time is right,” he told Abbey.
And that is why Dani, who recently spoke with Page Six at the Netflix Is a Joke comedy festival, can “totally understand why” they broke up. “The fact is, I kind of also feel bad for Abbey and David to break up,” Dani first explained. Yet, she also gets “why David doesn’t want to get married right away.”
Even still, Dani added, “The most important thing I have to [say] for both of them is that life isn’t a race. It’s OK to take your time, and I understand why. I totally understand why. They have different perspectives. But that’s OK.”
Then, Dani offered a word of encouragement to her fellow Love on the Spectrum alum. “And Abbey, when one door closes, the other door will open,” she said. Dani knows this fact firsthand. She and Adan Correa also broke up in 2025 after 18 months of dating.
Like Abbey and David, Dani and Adan also wanted different things out of their relationship. So, at the end of Season 3, Adan admitted, “It sounds to me that without this intimacy, it feels like we can only be friends.” And now, Dani is happily dating a “neurotypical” police officer named Henry Andrade.
