King Charles Turned Down Donald Trump’s Conversation After Arriving, Claims Lip Reader

A lip reader revealed what King Charles III and President Donald Trump whispered to each other during their first moments together at the White House. The exchange, which television cameras could not pick up, showed the monarch repeatedly deflecting the president’s attempts to discuss several pressing topics on the South Lawn.

heavy topics immediately after arriving at the White House. Nicola Hickling analyzed footage of the leaders’ exchange on the South Lawn, which television cameras could not pick up. The interaction took place before the state dinner and formal welcoming ceremony on April 27.

Trump opened with a reference to Saturday’s shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. “This shooting…” Trump appeared to say. Charles responded, “I’d rather not stand about here too long. I feel I shouldn’t be here.” Trump asked if the king was OK, adding, “It’s not a good thing.”

Trump then pivoted to Russian President Vladimir Putin. “So right now, I am talking to Putin,” he appeared to say. “He wants war.” Trump continued, “I’ve got a feeling… if he did what he said, he will wipe out the population.” Charles replied, “We will discuss that later.” When Trump pressed further, the king added, “Another time.”

Trump then shifted to his White House ballroom project. “You can see right through there,” he said. “Right the way through to the ballroom. Would you like to see?” Charles replied, “I’m sure you shall show us.” Staff then guided the group inside.

The pair later had tea in the Green Room and toured the Kitchen Garden beehive. The royals then headed to the British ambassador’s residence for a garden party. Charles will address a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, calling for “reconciliation and renewal.” Buckingham Palace told the BBC the king will celebrate “one of the greatest alliances in human history.” Royal sources told Politico he will also reference NATO, Ukraine, and the AUKUS alliance during the address.
