90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 8 is almost officially a wrap. Season 8 featured eight new couples, who met for the first time after developing passionate online romances. While some relationships blossomed, others ultimately fell short after being tested in reality. As with every 90 Day Fiancé season, Before the 90 Days Season 8 had both heroes and villains.
Heroes – Forrest Atwood-McKenzie and Sheena
Forrest Atwood-McKenzie and Sheena were consistently viewed as the couple to root for on Season 8. The couple had a genuine connection from the start, and it was clear they really loved one another. After being together for seven years, Forrest and Sheena finally met in person this season. Forrest’s parents came along for the ride, which complicated things at certain points. They were hesitant to trust Sheena due to her hiding things regarding money in the past. Ultimately, Sheena apologized, and the group was able to leave their differences behind them.
After Sheena apologized, Forrest felt that he was ready to propose to her. Sheena happily accepted, and the two began planning for their future. While there are still some things for them to figure out, the two plan to make it work. Forrest and Sheena were a couple nearly everyone was rooting for, making them the ultimate heroes of Season 8.
Hero – Trish Stiley
Trish Stiley dated Rick Van Vactor on Season 8, and their relationship was full of ups and downs. The couple had originally met online and formed a fast connection. Rick had some doubts about Trish when she disappeared for a few days, but she had a solid explanation for her absence. Her brother had gotten into a motorcycle accident, and she was busy for a few days helping him to clean up the aftermath.
Throughout the season, Trish realized that Rick wasn’t who he had led himself on to be. Once Trish realized that Rick wasn’t all in on their relationship, she chose to set a boundary and blocked him. She went to say goodbye to him at the airport when he left Madagascar, but she ultimately chose to end things with him romantically. This was an important move from Trish, as it highlighted self-love and valuing yourself in a relationship. Trish has done well since leaving Rick and is currently expecting a child.
Villain – Rick Van Vactor
While Trish ended Season 8 as a hero, Rick unfortunately came out as a villain. At the beginning of Season 8, Rick tried to portray Trish as the red flag in their relationship. However, Rick had gone behind Trish’s back and cheated on her with his ex. Rick came clean and promised Trish that he was now all in on her. He went to meet her family and even assured them that he intended to have a family with Trish.
After Rick went to meet Trish’s family, she discovered that he was still in contact with his ex. Rick then claimed that he still had feelings for his ex, and would have a hard time choosing between her and Trish. Ultimately, Trish chose to walk away from the relationship. Rick was in the wrong here, and he should’ve never gone to meet Trish unless he was sure that he was ready for something serious with her.
Villain – Stig
Stig was another villain on Season 8, who emerged as problematic after he suddenly ended his engagement to Aviva Duhamel. Throughout the season, Aviva and Stig had one of the most solid relationships. At the end of the season, Stig proposed to Aviva, and she accepted. Not long after, however, things came crashing down.
A few months after Aviva returned to America, Stig ended up breaking off their engagement over text. Aviva explained that the relationship had begun to fizzle out, which led to Stig ultimately ending things. While Aviva was heartbroken, Stig appeared to move on quickly and began posting with other girls. Unfortunately, Stig’s actions led to him ending the season as a villain.
