If you’ve been wondering if In The City will follow the fallout of the Amanda Batula and West Wilson romance scandal, then wonder no more. The cast of the Summer House spin-off filmed additional scenes once news broke about the pair’s shocking relationship.
Bravo Exec Frances Berwick wanted to prioritize “emotional well-being” of the cast

In an interview for The Ankler, Bravo exec Frances Berwick revealed that In The City cameras picked up after Amanda and West confirmed their romance. Filming for the much-anticipated spin-off had actually ended, but the masterminds behind the show clearly knew what Bravo fans want (and need).
“You’ll see in the first episode, we have a new scene that we shot with a couple of the cast members,” Frances said.
As for why producers decided to follow the scandal on In The City rather than Summer House? “We just didn’t feel like that was the right thing to do on Summer House,” she went on. Frances added that the network wanted to prioritize “the emotional well-being” of the cast. As such, they didn’t immediately return to filming on Summer House.
In The City was actually filmed in fall 2025, just a few weeks after Summer House wrapped for Season 10. The spin-off, which premieres on May 19, follows some of the Summer Housers navigating life in New York City.
Familiar faces on In The City include Amanda and her estranged husband, Kyle Cooke. Lindsay Hubbard, Danielle Olivera, and Andrea Denver will also be on the show. There are multiple new cast members, too!
Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It can be streamed on Peacock the next day.
