It’s safe to say that Michelle Saniei and Dr. Dre are the romantic pairing that literally no one saw coming. A photo of them holding hands went viral earlier this week and – unsurprisingly – sent the Bravoverse into meltdown. So, how did The Valley star and the music legend actually meet?

To recap, Michelle and Dr. Dre (real name: Andre Young) were snapped together leaving Nobu in Los Angeles this week. Naturally, Bravo fans were shook at the pairing, and immediately began questioning how on earth the duo ended up dating.
Speaking to The Sun US, an insider shared a few details on exactly that. That being: how the reality TV star and the music producer began their romance.
According to the source, Michelle and Dr. Dre have been partying “together” for months. This all came about thanks to Michelle’s friend, Ashley Palmer-Gilkey, who introduced them. Ashley is the general manager of Aftermath Records, which is the label that Dr. Dre founded in 1996 after leaving Death Row Records.
The insider went on to say that Michelle and Ashley have been close for a long time, and so she’s been around Dr. Dre “for months.” That said, it’s unclear how long the 37-year-old and 61-year-old have been dating.
One thing that is clear, however, is how surprised everyone is by the news. And, it’s not just viewers. Appearing on Watch What Happens Live this week, Michelle’s co-star and friend, Janet Caperna, shared her shock, too.
“It was not on my bingo card,” she said. “I found out when the rest of the world found out, so I’m very excited to get back to LA and have lunch with Michelle and get the tea.”
