Lexie Brown is speaking out about her ties to Klay Thompson. The speculation is that he had an affair with the WNBA star, which led to his break-up with Megan Thee Stallion. Klay and the rapper confirmed their relationship last year, with Megan ending it earlier this month.
The finger seems to be pointed in Lexie’s direction since their split. Lexie claims that she and her family have received death threats as a result.
Lexie pleads with Klay and Megan to speak up against the rumors
Klay and Lexie are professional basketball players. According to Lexie, her connection to the five-time NBA All-Star begins and ends right there. In an interview with Fox Digital, Lexie said, “The fact that I’m still the only one defending my name, I have no idea how to process that.” She adds that the rumors of an affair with Klay are “100% false.” Lexie, meanwhile, contends that she does not know Megan Thee Stallion.
Lexie’s name has been blown up since news of Klay and Megan’s breakup went public. The rapper blasted Klay on her Instagram with cheating accusations earlier this week. She said she wouldn’t tolerate any disrespect from Klay.
As for Lexie, she says she’s had to hire security because of this situation. The Seattle Storm guard can’t believe that she’s the only person to speak out and deny these allegations. She notes that nowadays there’s a massive outcry to protect Black women, but no one has spoken up in her defense except for her.
Klay and the Dallas Mavericks failed to make the playoffs this season, finishing 12th in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, Lexie and the Storm wrapped up their pre-season yesterday with a 91-81 victory over the Portland Fire. Klay has four NBA titles from his days with the Golden State Warriors. Lexie captured one WNBA crown in 2021 with the Chicago Sky.
