Brittany Mahomes shared her daughter’s new milestone in a recent Instagram Story. On Tuesday, the Kansas City Current co-owner posted two pictures on social media. It consisted of before and after snaps of her baby girl, Sterling’s long hair.
As shared by PEOPLE, the first one featured combed locks moments before the haircut. Meanwhile, the second image showed the kid’s new look, with Sterling for a little shorter hairdo.
Furthermore, the photos didn’t include Sterling’s face and only featured her back, focusing on her hair. It seemed like the baby girl had achieved a big milestone in cutting her hair short by a few inches. While the before photo showed her tresses looking a little shabby, the post-haircut look made them appear neat and perfectly wavy.
However, the new look seemed to make Mahomes emotional, as per the caption. On the 2nd photo, she wrote, “Why does this make me wanna cry,” adding a crying emoji in the end. This is a very relatable reaction for most parents, as saying goodbye to their cute curls makes it all the more obvious that the little ones are growing up.
This is not the first time the former soccer player has shared beautiful and personal moments of her family on social media. She often posts pictures with her husband, Patrick Mahomes, and their three children. For those unversed, the couple, who got married in 2022, has three kids — a son, Bronze, 3, and daughters, Sterling, 5, and Golden, 15 months.
A day before the haircut post, Mahomes had shared another picture of Sterling. It featured the tiny tot in a cowgirl outfit, which included the signature hat and boots. Over the snap, the former athlete wrote, “My baby wanted to be a cowgirl today.”
