Jersey Shore’s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Speaks Out After Shocking Video; Details Depression After Concerning Incident

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has shared a response to fans who recently expressed concern about his well-being. This came about following a video interview in which the Jersey Shore OG seemingly fell asleep mid-conversation.

Ronnie shared his thoughts in Instagram story posts

To recap, Ronnie recently appeared alongside his Jersey Shore castmates for a Stars on Sirius XM interview. During the chat, Ronnie visibly shut his eyes several times, and his head appeared to drop down as if he had fallen asleep.

“Oh Ronnie does not look well … the nodding off,” a concerned fan later said on social media. In response, many viewers accused Ronnie of being on drugs during the interview, while others defended him and argued he was simply tired. Nonetheless, Ronnie has now spoken out on the incident in a string of Instagram Stories.

“High functioning depression is waking up each day with a face that works but a heart that doesn’t,” one post read. “Most days it’s like being trapped in your own life, forced to keep moving even when every part of you wants to stop.”

In another post, he shared comments made by NBA player Kyrie Irving. “It’s okay to be human,” Kyrie said in the clip. “I don’t have to be perfect for anyone here, nor do I have to be perfect for the public. So I’m not here to dispel any perception. I’m just here to be myself.”

Elsewhere on his Story, Ronnie also shared a post raising awareness of May being Mental Health Awareness Month.

This is not the first time that Ronnie has sparked concern from fans. He has faced numerous legal issues in recent years, particularly regarding his family life. He’s also been open about his struggles with addiction.

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation returns to MTV for the final season on Thursday, May 7 at 8/7c.
