Met Gala Protesters Seemingly Left Bottles of Urine Inside Museum in Jeff Bezos Protest

Jeff Bezos is facing backlash amidst Met Gala 2026. The CEO of Amazon served as the honorary chair for the grand event along with his wife, Lauren Sánchez. Things took an awkward turn as a group began a campaign against him through fake urine bottles, ahead of the gala.

Met Gala protestors leave unusual bottles inside museum

Protestors ambushed the Met Gala 2026 red carpet to slam co-chair Jeff Bezos. It was reported that Bezos and Lauren made a donation of $10 million to sponsor the event. This alleged act led to a boycott movement over wealth inequality and workers’ rights.

As such, staff at the Met Gala’s venue spotted multiple bottles filled with colored water, appearing to be urine. There was a cluster of bottles labeled as “Met Gala VIP toilet.” The signage also read, “Installed in honor of Met Gala chair Jeff Bezos. Go ahead, it’s good enough for his staff” (via New York Post).

This is a reference to the group’s allegation that Amazon workers are sometimes forced to urinate in bottles instead of taking bathroom breaks. An anti-billionaire group named Everyone Hates Elon is behind this protest. The self-described group took to their Instagram to open up about their latest campaign. “We just hid HUNDREDS of “piss bottles”* in the @metmuseum to protest @jeffbezos hosting the Met Gala,” they wrote.

The post further added, “Jeff Bezos’s company Amazon is literally being sued for forcing workers to urinate in bottles. Amazon avoids MILLIONS in tax and Bezos is one of the world’s richest men.” They also said, “The Met Museum is taking the PISS by having Jeff honoured as their Gala host. When they celebrate Trump’s billionaires, let’s ridicule them instead.” At the end of the post, the group cleared it wasnt “real piss.”

Additionally, the group explained in a statement, “Amazon founder and oligarch Jeff Bezos just finished his Met Gala pre-party at his penthouse and is getting ready for the big night.” Moreover, they shared that they can’t let Bezos “get away with using celebrity and fashion to hide his crimes.” They added, “We’re exposing them instead.
