Blake Lively ‘Can Still Come Out With a Bunch of Money’ After Justin Baldoni Settlement — Attorney

Blake Lively might not walk away from her prominent lawsuit completely empty-handed. This week, the actress settled her case against Justin Baldoni and his company Wayfarer Studios. She alleged sexual harassment, among other things, took place while on the set of the movie It Ends with Us.

While it’s not believed that there was any financial compensation exchanged in the lawsuit, attorney Ronald Richards believes that Blake “can still come out with a bunch of money.” The former NBC News legal analyst weighed in on the settlement online.

Is Blake Lively the real winner of the settlement?

We may not be going to trial, but there may still be a lot of moving parts in Blake’s explosive lawsuit. On X/Twitter, Ronald says that many things remain to be determined, including the “fee motion for fees and damages from the failed defamation claim.” Ronald notes that Blake’s pending “Motion for Attorneys’ Fees, Treble Damages and Punitive Damages under California Civil Code Section 47.1” is not withdrawn. He says that the claim is still pending before the court.

This case has generated plenty of backlash for Blake, with numerous people alleging her motive was to destroy Justin’s character, plain and simple. Megyn Kelly recently blasted Blake, saying that her reputation would be tarnished from this case. She believes that Blake and her team agreed to settle because they didn’t have a case.

The allegations against Justin and his company first surfaced in 2024. Following this, Justin filed a countersuit against Blake, alleging that she was simply trying to malign his character. A judge threw out that claim. Weeks ago, many of Blake’s allegations against Justin and Wayfarer were also dismissed by a judge. There were a few claims that weren’t thought through, with those issues scheduled to be discussed in court. Following this week’s settlement, though, that will no longer happen.
