The bad blood between Pete Davidson and Kanye West appears to be alive and well. The comedian took to the stage recently for a roast of Kevin Hart. Although the idea was to take shots at Kevin, all many remember is the subtle jab taken at the troubled rapper.
Kanye has been heavily scrutinized in the media for a long time for his antisemitic rants, among other things. At the Kevin Hart roast, Pete noted that “I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis.” It seems he couldn’t resist looking back at the rapper’s many moments of infamy.
The feud between the two stars may have been reignited
Pete is taking his beef with Kanye out of the deep freeze and into the spotlight once again. A while ago the rapper spoke of his admiration for Hitler online. That’s among the many bizarre and offensive posts we’ve seen from Kanye in the past.
Kanye has addressed his past social media rants, which have gotten him in hot water. He previously shared his bipolar diagnosis, which some say explains his bizarre online behavior. One of those is David Curtis, a teacher at the UCL Genetics Institute. He says that people like Kanye in their condition can experience “impulsive, reckless or even psychotic” episodes. He believes it’s not a reflection of who Kanye is. Kanye apologized in a huge statement in the Wall Street Journal.
The hatred between Pete and Kanye dates back to 2022. That’s when the comedian briefly dated Kanye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. Online, Kanye threw the first stone, calling Pete “Skete” at that time while posting a video inflicting violence on the comedian. Pete also made jokes about Charlie Kirk, Tony Hinchcliffe and Lizzo, among others, at the roast in Los Angeles.
Kanye is married to Bianca Censori, while Pete is in a relationship with actress Elsie Hewitt. Pete and Elsie welcomed their first kid into the world late last year. Kevin’s roast was aired on Netflix.
