However, as per a source, Jenner avoided attending the gala with Chalamet so as not to jinx their romance.

According to Page Six‘s source, Kylie Jenner “intentionally avoided” attending the Met Gala with Timothee Chalamet. The beauty mogul was allegedly wary of the “Met Gala curse” affecting her relationship. For the unversed, couples in Jenner’s family broke up after showing up at the event. This included Jenner and Travis Scott, and Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson.
The insider told Page Six, “Kylie and Timothée intentionally avoided attending the Met Gala together these past few years because they didn’t want to risk the whole ‘Met Gala curse’ thing.” The source further added, “Kylie was especially superstitious about it after going to the Met with Travis [Scott] in 2018 and 2019 before they eventually split.” She “just didn’t want that kind of bad luck attached to their relationship and wasn’t willing to take any chances.”
Recently, it was reported that Jenner is being asked to “recognize her worth” in her relationship with the “Dune” star. Insiders told OK! Magazine that the pair are definitely heading towards a split. This is allegedly because the Oscar-nominated actor is “culturally and intellectually” on a different level from his girlfriend. However, the businesswoman’s supporters have allegedly rejected the idea that she is responsible for Chalamet’s professional setbacks.
One source from her circle told the outlet, “Among Kylie’s friends and team, there is a real sense of disbelief at the suggestion she is somehow responsible for Timothée’s Oscar setback.” A source also shared how Jenner tried to cheer up her beau from the Oscars disappointment, but she wasn’t being met with the expected gratitude. Thus, her circle is reportedly “urging her to take a step back and recognize her own worth.”
