Olivia Dunne already took a shot at one of television’s biggest series. The former NCAA gymnastics star recently revealed that her first-ever in-person acting audition was for season four of HBO’s hit drama The White Lotus before landing a role in the upcoming Baywatch reboot.

“So, actually, my first ever audition was in person. It was different because in gymnastics, usually you just go out there and perform on a 4-inch beam. But this, I have to talk and perform and play somebody else rather than myself. So, it was a completely different animal,” she admitted. “I ended up not getting that one, which was probably a show that you would know. It was for White Lotus,” she explained.
Even so, Dunne joked that she may have felt more comfortable showing off gymnastics skills than reading lines in front of casting directors. “It’s different. I think I would rather have done a backflip in front of the casting director, but I mean, I went there, I put it all out there. It was my first audition,” she explained in April’s Boardroom cover story.
Dunne said the audition opened the door to a whole new chapter. “It was honestly really fun,” she shared. “I’ve done a few more auditions since then.” The social media star explained that she has been seriously studying acting while working closely with an acting coach and rehearsing scripts regularly. “Naturally, I gravitate towards things that are more creative,” she said, adding that her family has always encouraged artistic pursuits. “I’ve been passionate about it ever since I was in college.”
After graduating from Louisiana State University and retiring from gymnastics in 2025, she finally decided to fully explore the entertainment world. Now, Dunne is preparing for her first official acting role in the upcoming Baywatch reboot series heading to Fox during the 2026–27 television season.
