Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are ready to pack their bags and put an ocean between themselves and the lawsuit that has eaten up their lives for a good while. After an exhausting legal war with Justin Baldoni, the couple is reportedly planning to leave the U.S. to start over in Europe. Just weeks after Lively and Baldoni finally reached a settlement, Lively is ready to start anew with her husband.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds ‘a fresh start away from all the stress’, claims insider
Radar Online noted that a judge dismissed most of the “Gossip Girl” actor’s claims, and the relentless media storm left Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds feeling humiliated. Now, they want out.
An insider exclusively told the outlet, “Blake and Ryan are desperate for a fresh start away from all the stress and misery that’s totally taken over their lives,” explaining, “Even if they wind up doing it for a temporary period, they want to get away and clear their heads.”
Reynolds, for his part, already has a reason to spend more time across the pond. He co-owns the Welsh football club Wrexham AFC, and the family has a home in Europe that has turned into a sanctuary during the worst of the backlash. Meanwhile, Lively saw her reputation take a beating.
A source claimed that the couple “will almost certainly keep a base in the States, but at this point, it makes sense for them to relocate for a while, get away from all the sniping and work to rebuild their reputations.” They emphasized, “Things can’t get much worse than they are right now.”
Notably, Ryan Reynolds still has major projects in the pipeline, and Blake Lively has vowed to fight on despite the legal setbacks. However, for a couple who spent many years together joking on social media and dominating the box office, all while raising four young children in the spotlight, the need for distance reportedly feels urgent.
