Getting clean may not be the first priority for Tiger Woods. The famed golfer was in rehab in Switzerland recently following his DUI arrest. The troubled World Golf Hall of Famer suffered a rollover crash in late March in Florida.
While awaiting trial, he was getting help in Europe for his issues. Apparently, though, a Trump family milestone stakes precedence over Tiger’s rehab. The golfer has a close bond with the Donald Trump family, dating Vanessa publicly since 2025. There’s another member of the famous family, though, with whom he shares a special connection.
Kai Trump is “like a daughter” to Tiger Woods
Maintaining his relationship with Vanessa isn’t the only thing important to Tiger. On Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack, it’s reported that Tiger left rehab to see Kai Trump. His girlfriend’s daughter was graduating from High School in Florida while he was in Zurich. “Tiger absolutely adores Kai,” according to an insider. They go on to say that Kai has become “like a daughter to him.”
Tiger spent six weeks in the Swiss Alps to treat his long-term dependency on painkillers and chronic injuries. He left recently to be on hand for her momentous occasion. Tiger spent most of the previous year on the PGA tour rehabilitating his injuries and was on his share of pain medication to help. He had to replace a lumbar disc and required surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon.
While he has tried to stay out of the spotlight since his DUI in March, sources say Tiger was committed to seeing Kai’s graduation. He joined Vanessa and her family who were also on hand for the big event.
Tiger is more than just a potential stepfather to Kai. In November, it was revealed that he was advising her on the golf course. At The Annika that month, she shot an 83 and 75, missing the cut and finishing last in the field of 108 golfers. That was her first tournament on the PGA Tour. A hearing into Tiger’s latest DUI arrest takes place in early June.
