Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of the “Today” co-host, Savannah Guthrie, went missing from her Tuscan home on February 1. While the investigation is still underway, a new development has come to notice. As per a clip circulating on social media, her home has an unusual upgrade, which is raising eyebrows.
Nancy Guthrie’s home reportedly has chains placed across driveway
The missing case of the “Today” co-host, Savannah Guthrie’s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still being investigated by Sheriff Chris Nanos and his team, along with the FBI. Meanwhile, Nancy’s Tuscan house is again under the radar for an unusual upgrade. In a clip circulating on X (formerly Twitter), a person reveals that “We got chains at Nancy Guthrie’s house,” before zooming in to show the “literal chains’ across her driveway.
Soon enough, the short video caught everyone’s attention and raised eyebrows. “I feel like they should’ve had the drive way closed off from day 1,” said a follower in the comments. While another posted, “They put chains now ? Yet didn’t put up security to investigate a crime scene and keep the property secure until the case was solved. They let family roam the property with multiple guest and didn’t seem to need chains across the drive way. Maybe the property has new owners.”
While people are still questioning the new addition in the property, Nanos and his team, along with the FBI, are going through DNA evidence, numerous files, and public tips to narrow down the culprit. Moreover, he revealed his communication with Savannah is now on a need-to-know basis.
“We text or, every now and then, a phone call,” he said. “But no, I’ve not even sat down with her face-to-face. She’s got a lot on her plate. The FBI, my detectives, and those they’ve been talking with her face-to-face. She doesn’t need to talk to me,” Nanos stated. Additionally, the Guthrie family has announced a $1 million reward for any information leading to Nancy’s recovery.
