The beloved Battlestar Galactica actress Tricia Helfer is the newest name to join OnlyFans. Speaking about her decision, the 52-year-old said she’s “tired of being told what to do” at this stage of her life.
Tricia Helfer heads over to OnlyFans for some fun and creative control
Tricia Helfer launched her OnlyFans page a month ago, but she is now speaking publicly to “take the stigma of.”
Speaking with People, the Hallmark star said, “At my age, I am in my ‘do what I want’ phase of life,” and “I’m tired of being told what to do and how to do it. I’m looking at it as something to have fun with and something that I can be in control of.”
On her account, she will post professional and self-shot photos and videos, along with livestream Q&As. “I’m keeping with my brand — albeit the sexier side of my brand,” she explained.
“It’ll be a mix of artistic shots with great photographers and pictures and videos of quiet and silly times at home, feeding my goats, or weeding my garden. I posted a picture [recently] of me out in my garden watering my plants, and I had my work boots on, but it was hot outside, so I was in a bikini.”
“I enjoy shocking a little bit. Would I shock my parents with the images? Probably. But they saw [me in] Playboy, and they appreciated why I had done it. My passion is my job as an actor, and I’m using this platform as an extension of my creative, fun and flirty side,” Helfer described.
In 2007, Helfer posed for Playboy for her sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica, where she played the character of Number Six. Recollecting the shoot, she said, “I got to choose the photographer, and I had photo approval, and I got paid. I chose to keep it higher-end in keeping with my brand. I see OnlyFans as an extension and a modern-day growth from those types of press outlets from the past.”
The actress is also planning to donate a portion of her OnlyFans earnings to animal charities. “If I have any success with OnlyFans, it will help me donate more than I already do and stay involved in even more ways,” she concluded.
In recent times, Shannon Elizabeth also announced her OnlyFans page, earning more than seven figures in her first week, as reported by People.
