Donald Trump issued a warning to New York City (NYC) Governor Kathy Hochul when he intimidatingly asked her to watch herself, adding yet another chapter in their prolonged rivalry. In a recent speech, Trump asserted the dominance of the Republican Party as he took a jab at his nemesis, prompting Hochul to pen a strong-worded reply on social media.

On Friday, May 22, the POTUS boasted of the Republican win in Nassau County before turning his attention to Kathy Hochul.
“No Republican wins in Nassau, and he ran, and he won. You better watch yourself, Kathy. You’ve got a race. You’ve got a big race,” Donald Trump remarked as per an X (formerly Twitter) clip posted by journalist Aaron Rupar.
In reply to Trump’s challenge, the NYC governor reposted the clip on her X profile and said, “I won’t be intimidated by Trump — or any spineless MAGA coward like my opponent Bruce Blakeman. While they’re busy screwing over New Yorkers, I’m fighting like hell to lower costs and protect New Yorkers from his attacks. Game on.”
During the Rockland County rally on Friday, Donald Trump also called Kathy Hochul a “nice woman” before adding that she’ll never lead the citizens to “the promised land.”
“She calls me up a lot. I immediately know it’s her because I do have friends in Buffalo,” he stated before mimicking the first female Governor of New York. “Hi, Mr. President, it’s Kathy. Could you help me here? Could you help me there? And we’re having a little problem getting this, and we’re trying to get that. Could you give me a little hand?” the 79-year-old politician exclaimed while talking like Hochul, as per The New York Post.
Trump further continued, “I say, ‘Kathy you’re always killing me, why the hell would I give you — ?’ Well, I just thought I’d try. Okay. Thank you very much.’ And the next day she goes out, ‘We must stop Donald Trump.’ It’s crazy. Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
Meanwhile, Kathy Hochul didn’t respond to the rest of Donald Trump’s remarks.
