Donald Trump Could Attend Son’s Wedding After All & Here’s How — Source

Donald Trump may have skipped his eldest son’s intimate wedding celebration this weekend. However, insiders say the president could still attend a much larger event later at the White House. According to a source close to the family, Donald Trump Jr. and fiancée Bettina Anderson hope to host a future wedding celebration at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, with Trump and Melania Trump expected to attend.

The plan would give the couple a chance to celebrate publicly after they quietly made their marriage official during a much more private ceremony earlier this week. While Trump family weddings usually attract huge attention and large guest lists, Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson reportedly chose a smaller ceremony. The guest list included only family and close friends.

Sources previously told PEOPLE that the pair decided on an intimate Bahamas celebration rather than a high-profile social event. According to a Palm Beach insider, timing also played a major role in the decision. “July 4 belongs to America,” the source explained.

The insider also pointed to practical concerns surrounding weather conditions in South Florida and the Caribbean later in the year. “Early fall is not a good time to plan a wedding in South Florida or on the islands due to questionable weather,” the source said. “So they decided to do it now in a place they both love.” Although the couple still plans to hold a larger celebration later.

Official documents show that Trump Jr. and Anderson are already legally married in Florida. A marriage license obtained by PEOPLE showed that the couple married on Thursday, May 21, during a private ceremony at the West Palm Beach home of Anderson’s twin sister, Kristina Anderson McPherson. The couple applied for the license on May 14, and the document included both of their signatures. Anderson’s brother-in-law, real estate attorney Bradley McPherson, officiated the wedding.

Trump Jr. and Anderson publicly announced their engagement during a White House holiday event in December 2025. The relationship marked a new chapter after his divorce from ex-wife Vanessa Trump, with whom he shares five children: Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe. This is Anderson’s first marriage and Don Jr.’s second.
