A new report suggests that Barron Trump skipped his stepbrother Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding. Apart from him, the First Lady, Melania, was also not present on the occasion. Trump Jr. and his longtime partner, Bettina Anderson, reportedly got married on Thursday and had a celebration later in the Bahamas.
Sources suggest reason why Barron Trump skipped Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding
A source close to Melania Trump’s family disclosed that her son did not attend his eldest half-brother’s wedding.
Donald Trump Jr. and his now-wife, Bettina Anderson, reportedly tied the knot in West Palm Beach, Florida, based on the information obtained from Palm Beach County records. The pair later held a seemingly private wedding ceremony in the Bahamas (via TMZ).
The source told Rob Schuter that Barron Trump remains distanced from his older half-siblings and said, “Barron grew up in a completely different world from Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany. There’s emotional distance there, and everyone in the family knows it.” Thus, suggesting this is why the youngest child of President Donald Trump skipped the celebrations.
While addressing the First Lady’s absence from the wedding, a source conveyed, “Melania did not want to spend a full weekend with Donald’s adult children from previous marriages. That tension has existed for years, even if nobody says it publicly.” Furthermore, as per the insider, the alleged assassination threat to Ivanka Trump also affected the celebrations, sending the family into “security mode.”
Meanwhile, according to a Page Six report, Bettina Anderson held a bridal shower in April. It was attended by Ivanka, Tiffany, Lara, and Marla Maples. During the ceremony, Donald Trump Jr. also gave a speech and described his wife as “smart, loving, and caring.”
While Melania and Barron were not a part of the wedding, President Donald Trump was also unable to attend. NBC News reported that he said he missed the wedding due to his presidential duties.
However, Trump did congratulate the couple on Truth Social and wrote, “While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon-to-be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so. Congratulations to Don and Bettina!”
Notably, Donald Trump Jr.’s former wife, Vanessa Trump, was also recently in the headlines for her cancer diagnosis.
