Nathan Gallagher, the Below Deck Mediterranean star, faces legal trouble in both Australia and Ireland. The reality TV personality faces domestic violence-related charges in Australia. He also has a live bench warrant in Ireland over an assault charge.
Nathan Gallagher faces an Irish bench warrant as he awaits court in Australia
Gallagher, who comes from Burtonport, Donegal, faces three charges in Australia. Police charged him with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent and common assault. Officers arrested the 27-year-old at a unit complex on Appleforth Street in Melrose Park on Dec. 27, 2025. Police allege that he assaulted a 29-year-old woman known to him at the same home the day before.
According to Donegal Daily, Gallagher received conditional bail after appearing at Parramatta Local Court on Dec. 28, 2025. He must return to Burwood Local Court on Sept. 1, 2026. An apprehended violence application also names Gael Cameron, who appears with Gallagher on Below Deck Mediterranean. Gallagher and Cameron share a child who was born last summer.
Gallagher also has a live bench warrant in Ireland, Donegal Daily reported. Dungloe District Court issued the warrant on April 8, 2025, after Gallagher failed to appear. Irish authorities accuse him of assaulting another man and causing him harm on Main Street in Dungloe on Aug. 7, 2022. The charge falls under Section 3 of Ireland’s Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.
Australian police said they arrested Gallagher after receiving an alleged domestic violence complaint. Police said they did not receive reports of serious injuries after the alleged incident. Gallagher initially faced a bail refusal before the Parramatta court later granted him conditional bail. His Australian case will return to court on Sept. 1.
Gallagher and Cameron have appeared together on Below Deck Mediterranean. The pair also share a child, adding another connection to the ongoing legal matter. Gallagher’s Irish case remains linked to the 2022 alleged assault in Dungloe. Donegal Daily reported the details of both legal matters.
