Jimmy Kimmel Slams ‘Dummy’ RFK Jr. After His Attack

Jimmy Kimmel has hit back at RFK Jr. after the Health and Human Services Secretary criticized him on social media. The comedian took to social media himself to call out Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who had shared a satirical thread regarding late-night talk show hosts. Kennedy added his own commentary to the thread, saying that it was a “superb dissection of the shocking collapse of liberal comedy”. He also directly referenced Kimmel to criticize him as someone who “was hired as a comedian” but has “made himself a priest.”

Jimmy Kimmel slams RFK Jr. in new post

On May 25, Jimmy Kimmel shared a screenshot of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s recent social media post about him on his Instagram profile. Kimmel also added his own text over a portion of it. He added the text, “It’s ‘nadir’ dummy. Now get back to spreading polio,” to the picture. This was in reference to the spelling of “nadir” as “nader” in Kennedy’s post.

Kennedy’s post mentions Jimmy Kimmel by name to directly criticize him as a host and comedian. The post reshared a viral thread posted by Peter Girnus, who has earned a reputation online for jokingly taking on different job titles, such as the Iranian National Security Council’s senior director and the Trump Organization’s forensic accountant, while sharing his views.

The video shared by Kennedy saw Girnus assume the post of “Senior Vice President of Late-Night Strategy at CBS” and make claims about the current late-night talk show scene.

“Superb dissection of the shocking collapse of liberal comedy. This is the best explanation of how we’ve reached the nader where Late Night host Jimmy Kimmel can say ‘It’s not my job to be funny.’ As this author shows, he was hired as a comedian but he made himself a priest,” RFK Jr. wrote.
