Marking another unusual chapter, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has posted a video of himself grabbing two live snakes with his bare hands during a visit to Dr. Mehmet Oz’s Florida home. The Secretary of Health and Human Services was seen wrangling two black racers on the patio of Oz’s beachfront Palm Beach property, while his wife, Cheryl Hines, looked on in disbelief.

The 72-year-old captioned the video, “Cheryl cheerleads the removal of a pair of Black Racers from Dr Oz’s patio.” The 49-second video, posted on May 26, shows RFK Jr. walking up to a tangled pair of snakes and then reaching down in the corner as he snatches the snakes with his bare hands. “They were having sex. So what were they?” a voice can be heard saying, to which Kennedy Jr. replies, “They’re black snakes,” while Hines comments, “You are nuts!”
Oz asks, “Are they biting?” Kennedy says, “Their mouths are huge!” Hines can then be heard reacting after another snake bite, “Okay, honey, let them go. Oh my God. Bobby, please.”
The video has now sparked reactions. One commented, “Mr. Kennedy – I hope you later apologized to the snakes for interrupting them during sex! Maybe Dr. Oz secretly did for you.” Another said, “That sounded like anti-cheerleading.” One more individual wrote, “RFK Jr is one of a kind. Fearless. Takes charge and gets it done. America needs more pragmatic leaders like Bobby!”
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has long been known for his interest in animals. Raised on Hickory Hill surrounded by animals, he also once worked at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C. His sister, Kathleen Kennedy Townshend, once said, as reported by PBS, “There were plenty of horses, many dogs, chickens, geese, goats. It was a menagerie… my brother, Bobby, collected reptiles. And actually, the turtle was in the laundry room. The sea lion was in the swimming pool.”
