RadarOnline says that President Donald Trump may have undergone a “grueling” medical examination at Walter Reed National Military Center on May 26.
The visit, which went on for 3.5 hours, was Trump’s third hospital visit in a year, raising questions around his health and whether he is fit enough to continue holding the president’s office.
Does Donald Trump hold the power to keep secrets about his health from the public?
Despite the president taking to TruthSocial after the visit and declaring that “everything checked out PERFECTLY,” public scrutiny about his health is breathing down his neck.
The soon-to-be octogenarian has been showing visible signs of deterioration in his public appearances. Persistent bruising on his hands, micro naps during public meetings, slurred speech, and frequent factual mix-ups have raised alarms about whether the POTUS is withholding information about his health.
The bruised hands have been explained as being due to “frequent handshaking” combined with aspirin use. However, since bruising has been noticed on both hands, this theory has failed to make an impression. Doctors suspect that his slurred speech may be a sign of a recent stroke, and factual mix-ups point to late-stage dementia, likely inherited from his father.
However, the president continues to defend his mental sharpness and cognitive abilities. He declared, “So I’ve taken (a cognitive test), and I’ve aced it all three times, I’ll tell you, because it is a positive thing.” He added details, saying, “It starts off with an easy question. And by the time you get to the middle, it gets tougher.”
At 80, Donald Trump is set to become the oldest serving president of the USA, a milestone that comes with doubts among the public.
As the White House representatives continue to declare the president to be in perfect health, the reality of his illnesses may be hidden from the public, given that the president has no legal obligation to release his medical information.
