James Carville predicts what will lead to Donald Trump leaving the office
In a recent video for Politicon, political consultant and author James Carville gave his thoughts on what could bring an end to President Donald Trump‘s time in the office. The former aide of Bill Clinton said that Trump will begin to feel the consequences of growing public resentment by November.
“I want us to just think together how much we hate [Trump],” he stated. “And it’s refreshing, but genuine, visceral hatred that we have, and we want him to know that.” Carville, nicknamed “Ragin’ Cajun,” continued, “We have to do everything we can to be sure that he is not just defeated, that he is humiliated. That he knows how much this country hates him for what he has done to this country.”
The 81-year-old political strategist added, “We want you to feel not just our hatred, but the hatred that is felt for you all across this country. And how much we hate the way that you have taken our country, our values, our hopes, our dreams, our aspirations, temporarily away from us. And the best thing we can do is come November, show you no mercy.”
Carville went on to predict that the midterm results could push Trump out of the office: “We’re looking to achieve a staggering, breathtaking, comprehensive and total defeat of Trump. I think we can do that. But it requires all of us pushing in the same direction.” He concluded, “And I think better things are coming because I think if he has still got his wits about him — and I hope he does — he’ll get the f**k out of there and leave. Because his life is gonna be so… miserable, he won’t know what to do.”
