NFL superstar Jaxson Dart has come under fire for introducing Donald Trump during the latter’s New York City rally. As such, his teammate Abdul Carter, as well as former Fox Sports analyst Emmanuel Acho, have cornered Dart for showcasing his support for the President.
Jaxson Dart criticized for Donald Trump’s rally appearance
Retired NFL star Emmanuel Acho has put the spotlight on the New York Giants quarterback when he called out the 23-year-old athlete for endorsing the POTUS.
During the rally, Jaxson Dart introduced Donald Trump by saying, “What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here, and without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored…to introduce the 45th and 47th President of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.”
In response, Acho highlighted the consequences of putting one’s political allegiences on display. “It’s time to have an uncomfortable conversation about what the hell is going on in New York. Jaxson Dart, the quarterback, supporting President Donald Trump?” the analyst noted, as per The Mirror.
“He’s allowed to do that, he’s a citizen. If Jaxson Dart is allowed to support Donald Trump, then his teammate is allowed to have his grievances with him doing that,” Acho stated. This alludes to Abdul Carter’s recent disapproval of his New York Giants teammate’s support of the President.
The former NFL veteran continued, “Here is my issue. Jaxson Dart, you know how several of your brothers, your teammates, your friends, your ride or dies, how they might feel about this individual. I don’t think there is a lot of wisdom or disarmament in very publicly supporting an individual who many of your teammates felt offended by. So Jaxson Dart, yes, you can do whatever the hell you want, but I don’t think it’s a wise decision without consulting some of your teammates.”
Moreover, Emmanuel Acho deemed Jaxson Dart’s decision to agree to introduce Donald Trump in his rally “pretty stupid given the reaction it will cause to his other brothers that are humans and have human emotions? Absolutely, I don’t think it was wise.”
Meanwhile, Dart has yet to respond to Acho’s criticism.
