Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift’s alleged feud has been in the news for a while now. Their friendship seemingly faded after the 23 year old learned that her senior artist’s team had received retroactive co-writing credit on her track, “Deja Vu.” Since then, the “Vampire” hitmaker has been asked about the dynamic with the “Opalite” crooner.
Recently, Rodrigo appeared on the New York Times’ “Popcast,” where she was asked about how she dealt with such rumors. The songwriter replied, “I don’t really read too far into it. I think it comes to the territory, and it’s part of the course.” Furthermore, the singer mentioned that she would lose it if she took online speculation about her “any relationship” seriously. “There’s just not enough time in the day.”
Moreover, the interviewer questioned Rodrigo about whether these alleged feud rumors created a “frost between you and Taylor.” They wanted to know if the speculations affected her. “I think I tried not to let it get to me or upset me,” she said. According to her, it happened a long time ago. “I just try to make songs that I love and try to be kind and good to other people in support of other people,” Rodrigo concluded.
Furthermore, in 2023, she addressed the feud rumors with Swift in a Rolling Stone interview. She claimed that she “didn’t have beef with anyone.”
