Jill Biden Accused of Trying To ‘Change the Tape’ With New Memoir

Jill Biden received backlash for her remark on Joe Biden’s 2024 debate amid the release of her new memoir. During an interview, the former First Lady spoke about her reaction to her husband having a stroke during a 2024 event. Recently, a former spokesperson accused her of trying to “change the tape” with her new book. Moreover, she was reportedly slammed for changing the narrative in “people’s minds.”

Jill Biden’s remark on Joe Biden’s 2024 debate caught attention. Her former spokesperson, Michael LaRosa, told FOX News that Jill was “trying to change the tape in people’s minds about who she is.” It came after the former First Lady said in an interview with CBS News Sunday Morning that she was “frightened” that her husband was “having a stroke.”

Furthermore, Jill expressed her distress while recalling the moment, claiming she “didn’t know what happened.” “And it scared me to death,” she stated. However, after the June 2024 debate, Jill told the then-U.S. President that he “did such a great job.”

Highlighting the contradictory statements, FOX News asked LaRosa why Jill changed the narrative. “She wants to say, ‘Oh no, my reaction was just as concerning and was just as severe as everyone at home. I was shocked,’” he replied. Furthermore, he claimed that Jill was the “face and the voice of the initial reaction for the country” at the time. It would have been a “more human response” if her reaction matched in her latest interview.

For those unversed, Jill is said to release her memoir, “View from the East Wing,” on June 2. It would reportedly address the events that led to former President Biden’s 2024 decisions. He dropped out of the presidential race against Donald Trump after his disastrous performance in the June debate.
