Photos published by Metro showed Katie navigating Gatwick Airport with a bright pink suitcase, fueling reports that she was boarding a flight to Dubai.
The trip comes after Katie claimed she had finally spoken with Lee following weeks of uncertainty surrounding his whereabouts. According to the reality star, Lee contacted her from a Dubai jail and said authorities had detained him on suspicion of espionage. Other reports have suggested that the matter may instead involve a civil dispute.
Lee’s reported release was expected this week, though details remain unclear.
The couple’s whirlwind romance has rarely been out of the spotlight since Katie revealed their marriage in January. Things took a dramatic turn when Lee failed to appear alongside her for a planned joint interview on Good Morning Britain, prompting widespread concern and speculation.
At one stage, Katie suggested Lee had been kidnapped. She later confirmed that he had been detained in Dubai. “I have found him, he is alive, and he is OK,” Katie previously told The Sun, adding that their phone call was brief.
Meanwhile, the drama spilled onto social media. While Katie recently regained access to her Instagram account after a temporary suspension, eagle-eyed followers noticed that Lee had apparently unfollowed her. The move sparked fresh rumors about trouble in paradise.
