The Ocean State might not be where Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce say I do. The singer and NFL star are keeping quiet about their wedding, though insiders have been doing their best to track down where the huge event may occur.
Rhode Island appeared to be the spot many zeroed in on as the place where the two would become husband and wife. The Fearless singer has an estate in Westerly, which is very private with plenty of space to host an extravagant event like that.
The engaged couple might not be getting married in Rhode Island after all
It appears to be back to the drawing board for insiders regarding Taylor and Travis’ wedding location. Westerly Police Chief Paul Gingerella told TMZ that neither he nor the town was aware of any wedding involving Travis and Taylor. The chief says that police knew about Olivia Culpo’s wedding a couple of years ago at Ocean House. The 2012 winner of Miss Rhode Island USA married NFL star Christian McCaffrey in Rhode Island in 2024.
Given how big Travis and Taylor are, it seems strange that police would keep quiet about such a big event from a safety and security standpoint. Paul isn’t the first to seemingly shut down the notion of Travis and Taylor’s wedding occurring in Rhode Island. Sheldon Whitehouse is a Senator from the state. He previously said that he doubted such an event would take place in the Ocean State.
With Rhode Island seemingly out of the mix, the next popular choice appears to be New York City. That buzz appears to be getting louder. Taylor owns an extensive compound in Tribeca, Lower Manhattan.
Locations aren’t the only things being narrowed down for the big day. Reports suggest the engaged couple are whittling down the wedding guest list. The likes of Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Sperry, reportedly didn’t make the cut.
