Tom Holland Says He Created Something Special Just for Zendaya

Tom Holland is sharing the inspiration behind BERO’s newest launch. The actor revealed that the brand’s latest non-alcoholic drinks were created with his fiancée, Zendaya, in mind. According to Holland, he wanted to develop something she would genuinely enjoy because she has never been a fan of beer. The result is a new shandy collection that he says was designed to bridge that gap while staying true to BERO’s identity.

When Tom Holland set out to expand BERO’s offerings, he had one specific person in mind. Speaking about the company’s newly launched shandy collection, the Marvel star said the drinks were designed with Zendaya’s preferences in mind.

“To be honest, I created the BERO Shandy for Z,” Holland shared while announcing the launch (via PEOPLE). Per the actor, Zendaya has never been much of a beer drinker, which inspired him to explore a different flavor profile. “She’s never been a beer drinker, so I wanted to bring something new to the table that she could enjoy,” he explained.

The new line marks a departure from traditional beer-focused offerings. Drawing inspiration from classic British shandies, the drinks blend non-alcoholic lager with lemonade and fruit flavors. Holland said he has long enjoyed shandies himself, making the category a “perfect next step” for the brand.

The collection includes four flavors: Daybreak Shandy, Golden Hour Shandy, Sunset Shandy, and Midnight Shandy. Each variation combines BERO’s non-alcoholic pilsner base with different fruit and citrus notes intended to suit different moods and occasions throughout the day.

Holland later offered additional insight into the product’s development during an interview with Forbes. While he credited his mother with suggesting the shandy concept, he claimed Zendaya ultimately became the driving inspiration behind it. “The idea,” Holland said, “was to create something authentic at the company that Z could enjoy.”

Even after the brand’s launch, Zendaya has continued to show support for the venture, including publicly wearing BERO merchandise. Now, Holland’s latest comments suggest her influence may extend beyond support and into the products themselves.
