Donald Trump has taken another swipe at Barack Obama in a new Truth Social post. The president shared an edited image portraying the Reflecting Pool as neglected under Obama’s administration. This comes as he continues to highlight his pool renovation project.
Donald Trump posts fake pool image on Truth Social
Donald Trump has once again taken aim at Barack Obama. In a June 2 Truth Social post, the president shared two side-by-side fake images of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. The edited image of the pool that appears under the name “Hussein Obama” features murky water. However, the image on Trump’s side depicts the pool as clean.
Other than the difference in the water, both images seem identical, featuring the exact same cloud formations, the people walking by the pool, as well as the framing and the angles.
This is not the first time Trump has made social media posts to diss Obama. The president had shared a series of bizarre AI-generated images and memes on Saturday to mock his political rivals and boast about the achievements of his administration. One of those posts was an AI-generated image of the Obama Presidential Library, depicted as a trash can.
The post comes just days after Trump spoke about his Reflecting Pool restoration project with Lara Trump in an interview with Fox News. “We’re doing one that’s really interesting, the reflecting pond,” the president told her daughter-in-law. “It was a disaster. Built in 1922. President Obama spent 100 million dollars and destroyed it further, and then Biden got involved and spent a lot of money and destroyed it,” he continued.
Trump added, “I’m gonna spend a tiny fraction of that money, and it should open in about a week. It was gonna take them four years to get it built, and it’s going to take me about four weeks.”
