King Charles is reportedly considering a priceless jewelry set as a gift for Queen Camilla. Pieces in the royal collection often carry historical significance beyond their design. If the reports are true, the set the monarch has in mind carries a storied past, marked by intrigue and royal drama.
King Charles reportedly wants to buy entire Keppel jewelry set for Queen Camilla
King Charles is reportedly considering acquiring the complete Keppel jewelry set as a gift for Queen Camilla.
According to RadarOnline.com, King Charles has maintained his royal engagements while receiving cancer treatment since his diagnosis earlier this year. Palace sources say that the King has grown more reflective about marking his bond with Camilla through historic heirlooms connected to their long-standing relationship.
Royal sources noted that among the most treasured gifts the 77-year-old has given Camilla is the Keppel Tiara. Crafted with diamonds and rubies, the piece descends from their shared royal ancestry and carries a connection to one of Britain’s most famous royal love stories.
The Keppel Tiara is reportedly worth $44,000 and traces back to Alice Keppel, Camilla’s great-great-grandmother, who had a long-standing relationship with King Edward VII, Charles’s great-great-grandfather. Made of gold and platinum, set with diamonds and synthetic rubies, the tiara was bought by Edward in Paris in the early 1900s and has since become one of Camilla’s most-worn pieces.
“He is now on a mission to buy the entire Keppel jewelry set, as well as other priceless artifacts, as a huge gift for Camilla,” shared a royal insider.
“Those around him believe these jewels go much deeper than extravagant royal gifts – they are deeply personal declarations of love and lasting devotion to Camilla, wrapped up in royal history and symbolism,” added the source.
Royal insiders further revealed that King Charles has long drawn connections between Edward VII’s relationship with Alice Keppel and his own with Camilla. Their bond continued through his marriage to Diana, Princess of Wales, who passed away at 36 in 1997.
