Meghan Markle is reportedly focusing on her future rather than Prince Harry’s ongoing royal tensions. As per a royal author, the Duchess of Sussex is determined to keep her business ambitions separate from the controversies surrounding her husband. The claims come as fresh reports suggest the latter remains on the outside of certain royal family events.
While the Sussexes continue to attract global attention, Markle is allegedly concentrating on “building her brand.”
Meghan Markle ‘protecting herself’ from Prince Harry’s drama with royals, per author
Royal author Duncan Larcombe alleged that Meghan Markle is becoming more focused on creating distance between her professional ambitions and the ongoing tensions involving Harry and his relatives. His comments come amid reports that Harry was not invited to his cousin Peter Phillips’ upcoming wedding. The June 6 event is expected to be attended by senior royals, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Waleses.
According to Mirror’s report, Larcombe suggested that Markle’s priorities are increasingly centered on building her lifestyle brand, As Ever. He claimed that while Prince Harry remains connected to headlines about royal disputes, she is focused on creating a positive and aspirational public image.
“He’s stuck in the world of red carpets and camera flashes,” Larcombe said. At the same time, he claimed that Markle views public appearances differently because they “are part of her brand building.” He further alleged that she needs to “protect herself from Harry’s chaos” as she works toward expanding her ventures.
Furthermore, Larcombe argued that references to the Duke’s royal past often trigger renewed debate about his relationship with King Charles and Prince William. “Whenever Harry does any speech at an event… it turns into a sort of soap opera,” the author added.
Meanwhile, Markle is said to be pursuing a separate trajectory. Larcombe called her “determined,” “ambitious,” and highly “focused” on establishing herself as a businesswoman. As such, he suggested that the mom of two may “carve her own path,” away from royal drama.
