Sources suggest King Charles waited to evict Prince Harry from Royal cottage

Royal journalist Tom Sykes discussed the matter on his The Royalist podcast. He shared that the Sussex team has disclosed the real reason behind Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the royal cottage. Sykes claimed that sources close to the pair stated that King Charles wanted them to leave the property. He allegedly waited till his mother’s passing to make the decision.

“[The Sussexes’ team] are telling me now is that King Charles waited until after the Queen had died to kick Harry out,” Sykes said. For the unaware, the home was gifted to the couple by the late Queen for their wedding.

He continued, “And they say that the Queen would have blocked it because it was her wedding gift to them.” Sykes shared that the Sussexes “are right about this” because the late Queen would have never really desired a “confrontation.” Sykes further said about the Queen, “That was arguably one of her greatest weaknesses. Her inability to stand up to family members who played the family card to get what they wanted is well known.”

The journalist added, “We saw it with Prince Andrew for decades. We saw it with Harry, of course, when he boasted about those private visits to her.” He continued that the “Queen was very susceptible to that kind of emotional leverage.”

Sykes noted that Harry and Meghan are “absolutely right” in believing the Queen would have never allowed them to be evicted, as she would hate to engage in a conflict with a family member. However, he called Harry “naive” for thinking the royal family won’t “punish him” or “force him into exile.”
