Seth Meyers Mocks Donald Trump’s Obvious Naps Amid White House Damage Control

Late-night host and comedian Seth Meyers launches a brutal attack on President Donald Trump, saying that his public naps may be a result of him staying up at night posting “AI-slop.”

Meyers mocked the president and attacked Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who tried to defend Trump, saying that the president stays up working through the night.

Seth clocks Trump seemingly falling asleep in public while the White House fights viral images of his naps

The late-night monologue comes on the heels of a fiery House Foreign Affairs Committee showdown, where California Representative Ted Lieu played viral clips of a sleeping Trump directly to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, forcing Rubio to aggressively defend the president’s stamina under oath.

Meyers used his “A Closer Look” segment to bash Trump by playing supercuts of the president napping during meetings, including an Oval Office meeting clip that Democrats raised with Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Capitol Hill.

When confronted with viral clips of the napping president, Rubio said, “That’s false. That’s false. I’ve never seen him fall asleep,” Rubio said. “On the contrary, the guy doesn’t sleep, which is a big problem because he calls me at 2 in the morning, he calls me at 5 in the morning.”

Meyers explained the real reason behind Trump’s public napping, saying, “It’s the same reason the raccoons are asleep whenever you go on a field trip to the Bronx Zoo,” he explained. “They’re up all night looking for a garbage can to knock over, which is also what Trump is probably doing.”

The White House, however, is trying to put up a strong yet flimsy front. In one statement following Trump sleeping during an Oval Office event on “Beautiful, Clean Coal, the administration lashed back, saying, “His eyes are literally open in the clip you posted, you dumba– mouth-breathers.”
