RFK Jr.’s Cousin Maria Shriver Slams Trump’s ‘Childlike’ Behavior

RFK Jr.’s cousin, Maria Shriver, called out Donald Trump’s behavior toward NBC anchor Kristen Welker. Here, she was referring to the president lashing out at Welker for asking him to provide election fraud evidence. Calling it “childlike behavior” towards media professionals, she asked everyone to stand up against such unacceptable treatment.

Maria Shriver weighs in on Donald Trump’s latest controversy

Shriver took to LinkedIn to share her opinion on Trump’s reaction to Welker, who asked him to provide evidence for his election fraud claims. She revealed that she has been thinking a lot about Trump’s latest behavior towards not just female journalists but also the profession. “It feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for,” she added. She was shocked to see such behavior being displayed by a person of influence.

Here, she was alluding to Trump lashing out at Welker and the network NBC, calling it “corrupt” before slamming all the major media networks. He also cast doubt on Welker’s intellect and credibility before calling her “darling” and leaving the interview.

Showcasing condemnation of his behavior, Shriver said, “I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with Meet The Press host Kristen Welker, just last week in the Oval Office with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to ‘smile,’ calling them darling, demeaning their credibility.”

She urged all men not to tolerate such behavior toward their female colleagues and to stand up against it. The former First Lady of California gave an example of how it would feel if someone targeted their own wife, daughter, mother, or sister in such a manner. She added that just as such behavior wouldn’t be tolerated when it involves loved ones, it shouldn’t be accepted in any other case either. “It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story,” she concluded.
