Sabrina Carpenter’s Alleged Stalker Fights Restraining Order After Arrest at Singer’s Home

On June 9, 32-year-old William Applegate was arrested by local law enforcement when he was found outside singer Sabrina Carpenter’s property in Los Angeles. The police arrived on site after reports that the man refused to leave the premises despite being confronted by private security.

Carpenter reportedly said that the man is a “complete stranger” and says she “never met him or communicated with him in any way.”

William Applegate is seeking to overturn a temporary restraining order granted to Sabrina Carpenter

Carpenter obtained a restraining order from the court, barring the stalker from approaching or coming near her. The order mandates that Applegate must remain at least 100 yards away from her home, her vehicle, and performance venues.

In an interesting turn of events, Applegate’s defense attorney filed formal opposition papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court, officially seeking to overturn the temporary order and prevent it from being extended into a permanent, multi-year injunction.

Applegate’s legal team argues that the current order is too restrictive and limits his rights. They are contesting claims by Carpenter, saying that Applegate’s presence near Carpenter’s property was merely an attempt to deliver fan mail and did not pose a threat commensurate with the restraining order.

In fact, Applegate has claimed that the legal action against him was not Carpenter’s personal choice but was “brought against Carpenter’s will by her employed security group and the Los Angeles Police Department in conjunction with her legal team as an artifact of a military government program’s maligned instructions.”

Carpenter’s legal team has retaliated with warnings of fiercely contesting the stalker’s plea at the upcoming formal hearing scheduled for later this month. Insiders claim that Carpenter has had heightened security protocol following her rise to global fame. This makes the restraining order an iron-clad testament to permanently block access for Applegate.
