As per TMZ’s exclusive report, Jelly Roll filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie Xo, after a decade of being married. As per documents viewed by PEOPLE, the 41-year-old filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18.
The news of their divorce comes as a surprise, as the couple has always kept their relationship public. More recently, the country musician and his podcaster wife indulged in wholesome PDA at the Grammy Awards in February. They posed on the red carpet together and shared a kiss as well. In fact, Roll snagged a win for the “Best Contemporary Country Album.”
The 41-year-old sweetly thanked his wife with a heartfelt speech. Roll shared, “I want to thank my beautiful wife. I would have never changed my life without you.” He added further, “I would have ended up dead or in jail. I would have killed myself if it wasn’t for you and Jesus. I thank you for that.”
Interestingly, hours before the divorce news became public, the 46-year-old podcaster shared a series of cryptic Instagram Stories. Xo posted a photo of herself dressed in lingerie. She wrote on the story: “She’s getting her sparkle back,” and soundtracked it to Metric’s “Help I’m Alive” (via PEOPLE).
Sometime later, the podcaster shared a screenshot of text that read: “Come here, let me show you what love feels like.” This story was soundtracked to J. Cole’s “Power Trip.”
Notably, Roll and Xo met at one of his concerts in 2015 at Las Vegas’ Country Saloon in 2015. The “Wild Ones” hitmaker proposed to his girlfriend while on stage in Las Vegas in 2016. The same evening, the pair tied the knot secretly in a courthouse ceremony after dating for a year. The now-former couple renewed their wedding vows in 2023.
