Mary Trump took a jab at her uncle, Donald Trump, for knowing nothing about being a “real man.” The news comes after Sen. Ted Cruz questioned Texas U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico’s masculinity. Mary responded with an example of her uncle and further criticized how Cruz didn’t even do the bare minimum by standing up against those who publicly attacked his wife, Heidi, in 2016.
Mary Trump comments on masculinity and Donald Trump
Mary Trump dragged President Donald Trump while responding to Ted Cruz’s doubts over James Talarico’s masculinity in her Substack newsletter. She said, “Apparently we are supposed to believe Ted Cruz is now the nation’s foremost authority on masculinity. Personally, I do not care. It seems like an odd qualification for public office. What are they going to do? Arm wrestle? Challenge each other to duels?” She further questioned if they would fight in a cage match at the White House to prove masculinity. This was a subtle dig at Trump, who conducted the UFC Freedom 250 event on his birthday.
However, she further stated that if it’s about masculinity, then the basic expectation for a man is to stand up to another man when he publicly criticizes their wife. She then aimed at Trump, calling out his masculinity. She said, “What do I know? I grew up in a family with Donald Trump, who knows absolutely nothing about being a real man.”
Last month, Mary also took a swipe at her uncle for not attending the marriage of his son, Donald Trump Jr., and Bettina Anderson. She dismissed the POTUS’s explanation that he could not attend due to his government responsibilities and that it was important for him to be at the White House.
She said, “Give me a break. He doesn’t want to go because he can’t stand his kid.” Mary further reflected on how Trump is “incapable of loving,” adding that it is difficult to be loved when those same feelings do not exist for anybody else. She also touched upon why Trump is the way he is.
