King Charles has allegedly taken another action against ex-Prince Andrew. A source claimed that the latter was reportedly not allowed to attend the Garter Day events. On Monday, the royal members gathered together for the prestigious annual procession of the Order of the Garter. But King Charles’ brother was missing from the events.
For those unversed, the monarch had stripped Andrew of his royal titles and duties last year.
Sources say King Charles has removed yet another privilege from ex-Prince Andrew
King Charles has reportedly stripped ex-Prince Andrew of another privilege. A source told Hello! Magazine that the 66-year-old was allegedly banned from attending the recent Garter Day. On June 15, King Charles and Queen Camilla led other royal members, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, to the annual service. While most of the royals attended the events, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was seemingly not invited.
Furthermore, the Daily Mail’s Ephraim Hardcastle (via Hello!) noted that the former prince was allegedly asked to return his Garter robes. Another report by the Daily Express claimed that the ruling has reportedly affected Andrew emotionally. “He’s become used to watching his family celebrate Trooping without him, but Garter Day will be a really tough day for him,” an insider said.
“It’s one of those days that reminds him of all that he’s lost. He’s feeling more isolated than ever; he’s completely alone,” they added.
Last year, Andrew was stripped of his royal titles, including prince and Duke of York. Due to his past scandals, he was allegedly banned from attending several public events. However, he was allowed to attend private ones at Windsor Castle. Last year, he joined his family for a private event on Garter Day.
This time, things seemed to have become more complicated for Andrew after his arrest this February. He had spent 11 hours in custody as he was being interrogated on “suspicion of misconduct in public office.”
