Jennifer Aniston’s recent comments about ex-husband Brad Pitt have reportedly stirred unexpected tension in her current relationship. Sources claim the actress’s decision to speak warmly about Pitt has not sat particularly well with her boyfriend, Jim Curtis.
Jennifer Aniston choosing to be friends with Brad Pitt is not sitting well, claims source
The discussion began when Aniston reflected on her years starring in Friends during a conversation with former co-star Lisa Kudrow for Variety’s Actors on Actors. As Aniston looked back on the many high-profile guest stars who appeared on the sitcom, she mentioned several Hollywood names, including Brad Pitt, who famously guest-starred as Will Colbert in the show’s memorable Thanksgiving episode in 2001. “The movie stars that came on Friends… Brad, Bruce Willis, Julia Roberts, Isabella Rossellini. We had so many… They were always nervous. I always found it fascinating how nervous they were,” she said.
According to an insider, Aniston did not view mentioning her former husband as controversial. The source said Aniston saw her comments as evidence that she had moved on from their highly publicized divorce. However, the insider claimed that Curtis viewed the situation differently.
An insider said, “It’s been a surprising source of tension because Jen sees it as healthy and mature, while Jim thinks some relationships are better left in the past.” The source added that Jim insists he is not jealous. However, the insider joked that if anyone could make a man feel jealous, it would be Brad Pitt.
Aniston and Pitt married in 2000 and ended their marriage in 2005 after nearly five years together. Over the years, both stars have moved forward with their lives and careers, but the public has never completely lost its fascination with their relationship. The former couple has remained cordial during occasional public interactions, and many people believe they have maintained a friendly relationship since their split. Today, Pitt is in a relationship with Ines de Ramon, while Aniston recently celebrated her first anniversary with Curtis.
