Donald Trump Faces Epstein Chants at FIFA World Cup Matches

Donald Trump’s relationship with the 2026 FIFA World Cup may be facing an unexpected challenge. Reports suggest concerns are growing inside the White House over fan chants linking the president to Jeffrey Epstein, potentially complicating any future tournament appearances.

The World Cup is typically a showcase for national pride and political pageantry, but according to recent reports, some supporters have turned their attention toward Trump’s past association with Epstein. The controversy has reportedly sparked discussions about whether the president will attend matches as the tournament progresses.

Fans chanting about Jeffrey Epstein could complicate Donald Trump’s World Cup appearances

According to Mirror, supporters from England, Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand have been singing chants referencing Jeffrey Epstein at World Cup-related gatherings and matches. The chants have reportedly spread across fan zones, bars, and stadiums, generating millions of views online through social media clips.

One source claimed that concerns inside the White House have intensified because the chants are easy for English-speaking audiences to understand and repeat. “His staff are in crisis mode trying to prevent the President from being exposed to the chants in person, and that includes avoiding matches involving English-speaking teams,” the source alleged.

The controversy stems from Trump’s well-documented past connection to Epstein. The two moved in similar social circles during the 1980s and 1990s and were photographed together on multiple occasions. In a 2002 interview with New York magazine, Trump described Epstein as a “terrific guy” who was “a lot of fun to be with.”

Trump has since distanced himself from Epstein, maintaining that they had a falling out years before Epstein’s criminal convictions. He has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and has not been accused of any crimes related to the Epstein case.

Still, the issue remains politically sensitive. One Washington insider claimed, “For opponents of Trump, Epstein has become shorthand for a story that refuses to go away. Soccer supporters are seizing on that.”

Notably, Trump has yet to attend a World Cup match despite the United States hosting the tournament. While administration officials have cited scheduling conflicts, some observers have questioned whether the increasingly vocal crowds could be playing a role.
