Brad Pitt is reportedly struggling with the growing distance between himself and his children, with new reports claiming the actor is heartbroken as several of them have distanced themselves from the Pitt surname. The latest development comes as Brad and Angelina Jolie approach another major milestone, with twins, Knox and Vivienne, set to turn 18 in July, bringing their long-running custody arrangement to an end. Also, it seems like this distance just keeps increasing day-by-day.
Brad Pitt reportedly not happy with his kids’ latest decision
According to Heat magazine, Brad Pitt is “absolutely crushed” by what insiders describe as his children formally dropping his last name. Several of the former couple’s six children, including Zahara and Shiloh, have publicly used only “Jolie” in recent years, while reports claim Knox has also followed suit. Sources allege that Brad finds the situation “soul-destroying” and has leaned heavily on girlfriend Ines de Ramon for support during the difficult period.
The report further claims that de Ramon, 33, has become a pillar of support and is even considering reaching out to some of Brad’s children in hopes of repairing fractured relationships. Insiders suggest that Shiloh, who was once said to share a particularly close bond with her father, could be the key to rebuilding ties with the rest of the family.
Brad and Angelina Jolie separated in 2016 after two years of marriage and spent years battling over custody of their six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. While Brad secured visitation rights, those arrangements are expected to expire once the twins turn 18 on July 12, 2026. The former couple also remains embroiled in a legal dispute over their French winery, Château Miraval.
Despite appearing composed in public, sources claim Brad remains deeply affected by the estrangement and fears that pushing too hard could further damage any chance of reconciliation. Neither Brad Pitt nor Angelina Jolie has publicly commented on these latest claims.
